Matthew Butler is a personal injury attorney who focuses on helping injured people recover the money they are rightfully owed. At Claimcollect, his work centers on injury cases involving car wrecks, 18-wheeler crashes, slip and falls, and premises liability.
When someone reaches out after being injured because of another person's negligence, Matthew's mindset is simple: help them get as close as possible to where they were before the injury and make the responsible party pay for the harm and disruption they caused.
Injuries don't just affect the body, they interrupt work, family life, finances, and peace of mind. Matthew's role is to step in, take control of the process, and move the case forward.
While in law school, he worked closely with a personal injury attorney who instilled a litigation-ready mindset in every case and became deeply involved with real case files from start to finish. He saw insurance companies deny legitimate injuries, minimize real pain, and delay claims in hopes that injured people would give up.
He witnessed large companies protect themselves at the expense of everyday people who lacked money, leverage, or legal knowledge. Those experiences made one thing clear: when injured people are not treated as a serious legal threat, they are often ignored or disrespected.
Originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Matthew graduated from St. Michael the Archangel High School before moving to Houston, Texas, where he played college football and earned his undergraduate degree from Texas Southern University.
He later returned to Baton Rouge and earned his Juris Doctor and MBA in Finance from Southern University Law Center.
Before entering the legal field, Matthew worked in logistics, construction contracting, and real estate. Those experiences gave him a practical understanding of risk, responsibility, damages, and how decisions impact people in the real world.

Every case handled through Claimcollect is approached with the same standard: pursue full and fair compensation and refuse to settle for less than what the client is entitled to. If accountability requires stepping into a courtroom, that option is always on the table.
